Gathering and Use of Information
Hartz will never willfully disclose any personally identifiable information about our visitors to any third party without first receiving the user's (or if a child, the parent's or guardian's) permission. We do not collect personally identifiable information from our visitors other than what is supplied to us on a voluntary basis. Visitors may provide personal identifiable information to Hartz during (1) subscription registration or (2) a contest or sweepstakes registration. In addition, personally identifiable information may be voluntarily provided by the user in connection with certain content submissions, community postings (i.e., chats or bulletin boards), comments and suggestions, or voting.
Hartz may use such information for its internal purposes, including but not limited to, editorial feedback, marketing and promotional purposes. In addition, Hartz may collect Internet Protocol ("IP") addresses for the purposes of system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing the Web. Hartz does not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable; so your use of our Site remains anonymous.
When a visitor under 13 registers, his/her parent (or guardian) receives an e-mail alerting them to that registration, requesting the parent's consent to collect personal information, and providing instructions on how the parent can delete the registration if so desired. Hartz is required to obtain parental consent before collecting such personal information from a child.

You will need to have the following information available: your name, your email address and the Hartz.com(SM) member name you picked for your child.
- Print out the registration form that will appear after you have completed online registration, sign it, and send it! You can fax it to 1-(877) 433-5409 ( U.S. toll-free) or 1-201-271-0068 (outside the U.S. ).

Hartz collects the following personal information from children under the age of 13 during the registration process: child's member name, child's first name, child's email address and password. Hartz uses all personal information collected from children for internal purposes only, including but not limited to editorial, feedback, marketing and promotional purposes such as the Events. Hartz will not disclose or release any personally identifiable information about any visitor under the age of 13 to any third party whatsoever.
Hartz will not condition a child's participation in any activity on the site on the providing of personal information, except where such information is reasonably required. If a child wins a contest only his/her first name will appear.
Parents are free to review the personal information of their children submitted to Hartz.com at any time. A parent may at any time request that their child's information be deleted and may refuse to allow Hartz.com to collect any further information from the child by going to http://www.hartz.com/profile.asp. Hartz will delete any child's personal information upon a parent's request to do so. To request that a child's information be deleted, a parent can simply email Hartz.com at 12andUnder@mail.hartz.com and state in the subject line "Please remove my child from Hartz.com."

California Privacy Rights
