Note that many products that are safe for dogs are not safe for cats. Before using any flea and tick products, it's imperative that you read the entire product label to ensure that you are not endangering one of your pets.
This is especially true when applying flea and tick topical drops to your dog. You should keep your cat away from your dog, since cats tend to groom their canine counterpart and could ingest an ingredient that is toxic to them. It is recommended that you separate your dog and cat for 24-48 hours after applying a Hartz® topical drop.
